city heat

very excited to have our new online store approaching for launch date. this cool shot is part of the new happy house  home page for the site and also ad campaign for Hong Kong and fresh launch into Australian market in 2010. Wend Lear gorgeous friend, amazing photographer took the shots for us and the cute guy in the pic just happens to be Jack my adorable nephew and Issy is his girlfriend in real life. thank you guys I could have never got anyone looking so sweet and sincere with just any old models.

there is an owl outside my window

Since moving to the hills of Adelaide there has been this very strange loud humming sound which friends and family have debated over as to what it was, the humm kind of fades in and out and I was convinced it was something to do with a very large telecom tower not too far away from here! But no after closer inspection with very close ears the humm is no humm but a hoooot from an owl. So this is in dedication to you beautiful owls that kept me guessing for so long....... plus owls are so in....... or out I am not sure, hoo hoo cares anyway? They sure look beautiful.

new ideas to help comfy up your life!

These critters are so cute I had to make sure they all played a part in this new range of cushions, available soon on the online store. These guys are from the folk art theme that I illustrated earlier this year which shows a little part of on the theme banners on teh home page, just look out for FOLK ART!

chrissy wreath full of happiness

This year happy house was asked to design and donate a christmas wreath for a charity even to raise money for the Ronald McDonald House for sick children, i loved creating this and hope that someone bids high at the fundraising auction so we can help make a great contribution to such a worthy charity.

Its all the rage right about now but i can't say enough about mixing up your talents, use a few old retro fabrics from your mums cupboard and find some felt or other scrap fabric to create something unique, i made this bag for a friend of mine as homemade pressies are the best pressies of all right. Borrow mums sewing machine or crank your old faithful, sewing can be fun...... really!

Its that time of year again here in Oz when water becomes the hot topic, Iggi the pig here suggests that we should take a rain bath if we have the opportunity, mind you that means you will go pretty smelly for at least 6 months of the year as rain is pretty scarce around this time of year unless you live in the north of our great land where monsoons are supreme!

Our partners in Hong Kong opened this store in Bejing, we love it, don't you dig the candy stripes? They mainly sell roomwear which includes pj sets and the cutest knickers and bras. I love their aprons too! good luck guys!
