rainbow ribbons

i think all girls love rainbow ribbons, i wanted to create a range where the ribbons just decorate the clothes and just hang loosely so they flow when you walk and run, they look super cute on these primary colours too, i would have so loved a pair of faded red jeans when i was a kid....... actually maybe i did..... smile jeans in the 80's......

working currently on some concepts for fashion for  8 to 14 year old girls. tell me what you think. my most memorable items when i was young ( oh so long ago) were items that had some element of interest, a bit unusual, a little bit unexpected like zips in unusual places and sleeves that detached or jackets that turned inside out..... i like the idea of pockets unzipping and you being able to put them in a different places on the garment....... more to come.

we all love days in the garden right? or maybe its just a few of us........ something about the wonders of nature that just offer us those magic peaceful happy moments like when a butterfly passes you by.......

I have started this series of little hand paintings, all of girls in cute outfits....... generally I have someone in mind. This is currently one of my favorites, she makes me feel like a hot chocolate on the couch and a favorite movie. She just looks 'comfy' and she makes me smile.

when ever i draw a fairy it is guaranteed to make me feel good, they pop up from now and then and even after all this time they make me smile. one of the first even happy house cards was a very fun fairy in some wicked wedge shoes, this little blossom is a little more light weight, just as fairies should be.....
